All sessions are tailored to fit each Client's needs which may vary from visit to visit.
Ban-Chi supports Clients in their efforts to improve/maintain wellness by interrupting stress patterns which can lead to chronic ailments, to help them navigate through health and other crisis situations, to assist them with pain management in a non-invasive fashion, or to simply make them feel pampered.
Ban-Chi's service is mainly about Reflexology (done on the feet/hands/face (combos available) but always benefiting the entire body). Other elements known to enhance the benefits of holistic work will be interwoven (breathing, meditation, etc.) for optimal results, but will not interfere with the session. In other words, Clients are always getting a full session of Reflexology.
Ban-Chi's mission is also to open Clients' eyes to the accessibility of easy-to-do self care at the desk or on the run through Reflexology, breath, meditation, some easy to do asanas to allow for a quick shift in the body and restore ease and balance!
While an ongoing health maintenance should consist of a healthy diet, adequate sleep and exercise, just a few minutes of self care whenever there is time will can result in subtle resetting in the body. The body appreciates TLA (tender loving attention), to be listened to and the difference can be felt in all layers of being.
Self Care does not replace a 1-hour session provided by a certified professional, but will keep the de-stressing at bay inbetween sessions.
The National Institue of Health (NIH) on Reflexology: Reflexology is recognized by the NIH as a separate and distinct bodywork discipline that is beneficial for pain management, stress reduction, improved body function and increased parasympathetic response (rest and digest). Reflexology typically elicits deep relaxation, promotes normalization of heart rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure, and blood cortisol levels (fight or flight hormones) and produces a calming effect on body, mind and spirit.
